Ten Commandments for Responsible Owners

1. My life is likely to last about 10 years. Any separation from you will be very painful.

2. Give me time to understand what you want of me.

3. Place your trust in me. It is crucial for my well being.

4. Don't be angry with me for long, and don't lock me up as punishment. You have your work, your friends, your entertainment. I have only you!

5. Talk to me. Even if I don't understand your words, I understand your voice and when it's speaking to me.

6. Be aware that however you treat me, I'll never forget it.

7. Before you hit me, remember that I have teeth that could crush the bones in your hand, but I choose not to bite you.

8. Before you scold me for being lazy or uncooperative, ask yourself if something might be bothering me. Perhaps I'm not getting the right food, I've been in the sun too long, or my heart may be getting old and weak.

9. Take care of me when I get old. You, too, will grow old.

10. Go with me on difficult journeys. Never say, "I can't bear to watch it" or "Let it happen in my absence". Everything is easier for me if you are there. Remember, I love you.

Patience came to ABA Rescue as an owner surrender in excellent health. She is approximately 6 to7 years old. Patience has proven to be excellent with people, although she should not be placed with another dominant dog. Her best placement would be an only dog family.

She is one of the most loving dogs (towards human's) that I have had the opportunity to be around. She is full of energy and seems to be very healthy. She loves to go for long walks and play in the yard.

Patience is confident and loves to greet people at the door as they enter the house. She is crate trained and very well behaved in the house. Patience will make a great addition to a home that has some extra love to spread around.

She will be the perfect addition to a home that she will be the only pet. If anyone is looking for a well trained, full of personality (and beautiful) bullmastiff look no further...you NEED to meet and make Patience your family member!!

St. Nick was abandoned in the snow just before Christmas by his owners who were tired of owning a blind dog. He is approximately 10 years old and has a very sunny outlook. He was able to memorize my place in about two days.

St. Nick is house trained and is absolutely no work at all. He snoozes the days away and chews on his favorite bone. He lives for cuddle time. He adores being petted and spooned. He loves cookies. He is a really wonderful dog with great energy.

St. Nick would be the perfect companion for a person who is looking for a dog who is low maintenance, easy to be around and has a lot of love to give.

His eye condition is untreated Glaucoma. His pain is managed with medication which he does well on. The cost for his medication is about $33.00 per month.
